Classic!
I love this picture! We were at a park one day and it was packed full of people (and cars). People will park anywhere, whether there is a spot or not. This car parked right in the middle of the road to exit one of the lots. As you can see, the gentleman in the picture is not very happy - he can't get out. Also, notice that the car's windshield wipers are pulled up. This is very common in Istanbul. If you find your car like this, you know that you parked in a bad place! We have had this happen to us before, although we were in a spot right in front of our apartment. Not sure what we did wrong, maybe someone was just having a bad day!

15/5/07 10:14 AMI guess the owner should be glad they ONLY pull up the wipers! Can't imagine what they might do here to somebody like that! Bet there was definitely 'conversation' when he got back!

When I saw this picture I thought "I know why the wipers are up". Then I read your explanation and I was wrong. Where we used to live if the wipers were up it meant someone in the parking lot had just washed your car and you had better pay them before you leave. Even if your car didn't need to be washed and they used dirty water. We called it the Car Wash Maffia.
